Schedule
The Forum Opening Ceremony will be in the evening of Monday 28th (19:00-23:00) at the Teatro del Lago (Frutillar), so buses from Hotel Cabaña del Lago (Puerto Varas) will depart around ~18:00, and return about 23:00.
The workshops will take place at the Universidad de Los Lagos (University Campus at Serena #77, Puerto Montt) on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th November. Buses will depart from Puerto Varas to the venue at 9am, returning to the hotel at 5pm. All workshop activities including lunch will take place at the University Campus.
The Forum Wrap-up & Conclussions and Closing Ceremony will be in the afternoon of Wednesday 30th November (University Campus at Serena #77, Puerto Montt).

Optional activities
Termas del Sol hot springs (onsen 温泉)
Full-day visit to Termas del Sol hot springs (onsen 温泉) at Seno de Reloncaví, via Ensenada and Cochamó, on Thursday 1st December. Buses will depart from Puerto Varas at 8am, returning at 8pm (estimated arrival time to the hotel).
Recommendations for your visit to Termas del Sol:
- Bring your towel, bathing suit, sandals, bathrobe, everything you need.
- Bring a reusable plastic bottle for drinking water.
- Hair tie/scrunchie or bathing cap to hold your hair when entering the pools.
- We recommend entering the pools gradually from the lowest to the highest temperature.
- Only credit cards are accepted as payment method.
Volcán Osorno or Saltos del Petrohué (sightseeing)
Half-day visits to Volcán Osorno or Saltos del Petrohué (pick one) in the morning of Friday December 2nd. *** UPDATE: Both optional tours were cancelled. ***

Includes: private transportation, specialized guide, snacks. Price per person: CLP 75,000 (about US$ 85).
2. Saltos de Petrohué optional tour

ESO VLT public visit for graduate students
Workshop 1 “Astronomy and Astronomical Instrumentation” will arrange a half-day visit to Very Large Telescope (VLT) at ESO Paranal observatory on Saturday 26th November for graduate students from Japan.
