Ángela FloresÁngela Flores

Ángela Flores is Assistant Professor of Electrical Power Systems at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universidad de Chile.

She holds a Ph.D. from Technische Universität Berlin. She also earned both her MSc and BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Chile.

Sabine LimbourgSabine Limbourg

Professor of Logistics at HEC-ULiege and Vice-President of Logistics in Wallonia. Sabine Limbourg is a full Professor in transport, logistics, and supply chain management. Her research, strongly related to sustainable development goals, has led to the improvement of decision support systems for logistics. It focuses on establishing links between advanced operations management and the needs of both enterprises and communities. She is also involved in several multidisciplinary research projects.

She holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Management Sciences from the Facultés Universitaires Catholiques de Mons. She also earned a degree in Physics with a specialization in Mathematics from the University of Mons.

Fernando OrdóñezFernando Ordóñez

Fernando Ordóñez is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Chile. His research focuses on convex and robust optimization, complexity of algorithms, sensitivity analysis, and applications of optimization to engineering and management science. His research spans operations research, optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and holds a professional degree in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Chile. His work has been awarded the Wagner prize for Excellence in Operations Research practice and the Rist Prize of the Military Operations Research Society.

Thierry PironetThierry Pironet

Thierry Pironet is an Associate professor tenured at HEC-University of Liège. He earned a Ph.D. in Economic and Management Sciences and a DEA in Management Sciences from the University of Liège. He also holds a Master’s in Logistics from HEC-Liège Institut Gramme, a DEC in Business Management from the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve, and an Industrial Engineering degree from Institut Gramme Liège.

His research includes Quantitative management methods, Operations research, Numerical computation programming, Management information systems, Information and communication technologies [ICT].

José SotoJosé Soto

José Soto is an Associate Professor and Academic Chair in the Department of Mathematical Engineering at the University of Chile. He is also an Associate Researcher at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM). His research interests include combinatorics, algorithms, and combinatorial optimization.

He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011, under the supervision of Professor Michel Goemans. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Mathematical Engineering at the University of Chile.

Mónica Zamora ZapataMónica Zamora Zapata

Mónica Zamora is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Universidad de Chile.

She holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California San Diego. She completed her undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Chile.
