Chile, at the southwestern border of Latin America, has great challenges in mathematics education: students’ learning has been marked by low results and a highly segregated education system. In this context, we ask ourselves what can research and innovation do to contribute to the classroom and to society, to promote better development locally and globally. We invite you with great enthusiasm and hope to participate in this event.

Registration
Pre-registration for PME 48 begins in December 2024. It will be carried out online using the ConfTool conference registration system. In order to register for the conference or paying the membership fee, you need to register in the PME ConfTool system.
1. If you already have been a user of the PME ConfTool system, for example if you attended one of the last conferences: Please enter your username and password to log in and select the option “Pre-Register for this Event or Join PME as a member.” If you have forgotten your password, ConfTool will help you to retrieve it.
If you are a new user for the PME ConfTool system:
a. Please create a new account and register in the system.
b. You will need to provide your personal information and account information in order to build your own data base in the system.
c. After filling in these details and submitting all information needed, you will be able to continue with your conference pre-registration.
2. Select your status as PME participant by clicking on the appropriate option. Step by step, the system will take you to the payment form for the conference deposit (see section 7.4).
