Museum of Memory and Human Rights | This museum was inaugurated in January 2010 by then-President Michelle Bachelet. It is a space designed to raise awareness of the human rights violations committed by the Chilean State between 1973 and 1990; to dignify the victims and their families; and to stimulate reflection and debate on the importance of respect and tolerance, so that these events are never repeated. It promotes education and culture. | ![]() |
Santiago Central District | This walking excursion will take you to some landmarks of the Santiago Central District, including Santa Lucía Hill and La Moneda Palace. Santa Lucía Hill was originally a rugged rock used as a lookout point because its summit offered a panoramic view of the territory. After the arrival of the Spanish, Pedro de Valdivia founded the city of Santiago at its foot on February 12, 1541. La Moneda Palace is the seat of the Executive Branch of the Chilean State and one of the most representative symbols of the country's political history. Designed by architect Joaquín Toesca, it is the most important work of Neoclassicism in Chile. | ![]() |
Santiago Metropolitan Park | This park, also known as San Cristóbal Hill, offers the best views over Santiago. At 722 hectares, the Metropolitan Park is Santiago's largest green space, but it is still decidedly urban: a funicular carries you between different landscaped sections on one side, while a cable car swoops you away on the other. A snowy white 14m-high statue of the Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción towers atop the summit at the Bellavista end of the park. | ![]() |
Santiago Bahá’í Temple | The Santiago Bahá'í Temple is a Bahá'í House of Worship located in Santiago, Chile that opened in 2016. It is circular and composed of nine arched "sails" made from marble and cast glass. Like all Bahá'í Houses of Worship, it is open to all regardless of religion or any other distinction. The temple was designed by Canadian architect Siamak Hariri and has won several awards from Canadian and international architecture organizations. | ![]() |
Maipo Canyon | The Maipo Canyon is a surprising destination, made up of natural wonders and cultural heritage sites only the Andes Mountains can offer, just steps away from Santiago. | ![]() |
Santa Rita Vineyard | This excursion takes you to Santa Rita Vineyard's varietal garden, continues through the vineyards, and reveals the secrets of the winemaking and aging process. The visit culminates with a wine tasting. | ![]() |
Pablo Neruda's La Chascona house | In 1953, Pablo Neruda began building a house in Santiago for Matilde Urrutia, his secret love at the time. In her honor, he named it "La Chascona," the nickname he gave her because of her abundant red hair. | ![]() |
