About the campus

The University Campus is located on Cerro Placeres hillside, Valparaiso, facing the Pacific Ocean. It has four pedestrian access: Av. España (at the base of the hill), and Placeres, Diego Portales, and Valdés (at the highest point of the campus). We recommend to take Uber. Public transport is not suitable for people with reduced mobility, or suitcases.

How to arrive to the Campus

Uber From Valparaíso, about CLP$4.000 (US$6); From Viña, about CLP$5.000 (US$7) (fare estimation). We recommend Valdés, Portales, or Placeres access.

Metro From Portales station, cross the walking bridge and walk upstairs to the hill. Follow Placeres Av. until Valdés or Portales access.

Taxi From Valparaíso, about CLP$8.000 (US$12); From Viña, about CLP$10.000 (US$15). We recommend Valdés, Portales, or Placeres access.

Microbus

From Valparaíso: Any bus going to Viña del Mar from Valparaiso passes through Av. España access. Ask the driver to stop at “Universidad Santa María”. About CLP$500 (US$0.7). The trip takes about 5-10 minutes.
From Viña del Mar: Any bus going to Valparaíso from Viña (except lines 400) passes through Av. España access. Ask the driver to stop at “Universidad Santa María”. About CLP$500 (US$0.7). The trip takes about 15 minutes.
