Expo 2025 Osaka

As a cultural activity to be held within the framework of the Chile-Japan Forum, Forum participants will visit Expo Osaka 2025 on October 3, 2025.

The OSAKA Expo 2025 is a periodic world exhibition that is being held this year in Osaka, Kansai Region of Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The theme of the Expo is “Designing the Society of the Future for Our Lives,” with the 3 sub-themes: “Save lives,” “Empowering Lives,” and “Connecting Lives. The sub-theme “Save Lives” includes issues such as lifestyle (diet and exercise) and increased life expectancy, closely related to topics which will be discussed in the forum workshops. Located on the artificial island, called Yumeshima and built on the city’s waterfront, the site offers panoramic views of Osaka Bay.

Participants will travel by minibus to the Expo 2025 site.

Returning to Kyoto from Expo Osaka 2025

For guests taking the minibus back to Kyoto Station:
Meeting time and place – Friday, October 3, at 4:40 p.m. at the bench located right next to the West Gate, inside the Expo site.

The Expo is open until 10:00 p.m. For those staying later, please take the train from the East Gate to Kyoto Station.
