To face the\u00a0Covid-19 pandemic, Chile has adopted a regulation called “Paso a Paso”<\/em>,\u00a0which is fully described on the website\u00a0https:\/\/www.gob.cl\/pasoapaso\/<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Here, we summarize the most important aspects of the regulation for foreign visitors\u00a0to Chile.<\/div>\n

Mobility Pass<\/h3>\n

It is highly recommended to get a Mobility pass at https:\/\/mevacuno.gob.cl\/<\/a>.\u00a0To do so,<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You first need to create an account\u00a0and validate it through your e-mail.<\/li>\n
  2. After that, you need to complete a form\u00a0of Identification and submit it for validation. This process can take up to\u00a072\u00a0hours.<\/li>\n
  3. Finally, you need to submit your\u00a0vaccine certificates to be validated. This process can take up to\u00a014 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The\u00a0official website doesn\u2019t have a guide in English. However, you can use the one available\u00a0in this website<\/a>, which have the detailed instructions in English starting at\u00a0page 13.<\/p>\n

    Alert Level in Borders<\/h3>\n
    Currently, Chile\u00a0is at\u00a0level 1, which yields the following requirements to enter the\u00a0border:<\/div>\n
      \n
    1. You have to complete the C19 form,\u00a0available at\u00a0https:\/\/c19.cl\/#\/<\/a>. In this form\u00a0you need to declare an address to pass a 7 days isolation if you are confirmed\u00a0to be a Covid-19 positive case.<\/li>\n
    2. The PCR test before traveling\u00a0is\u00a0optional, and thus it is not required.<\/li>\n
    3. You can be selected for a random PCR\u00a0test at the airport.<\/li>\n
    4. You need a health insurance covering Covid-19 for at least 30.000 USD.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
