Estimaci\u00f3n adaptativa en modelos de densidad y regresi\u00f3n funcional<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

En esta charla, presentaremos m\u00e9todos de estimaci\u00f3n para estimar funciones no-param\u00e9tricas en modelos de densidad y en modelo de regresi\u00f3n funcional asociado a proceso de Wiener. En el modelo cl\u00e1sico de la densidad estudiaremos las propiedades de estimadores de tipo n\u00facleo asumiendo que las funciones a estimar pertenecen a clases de funciones de Holder. Presentaremos\u00a0el m\u00e9todo de Goldenshluger-Lepski (2011) que permite obtener estimadores que se adaptan a la regularidad de la funci\u00f3n. Mostraremos c\u00f3mo extender este m\u00e9todo en el caso de la regresi\u00f3n funcional donde la variable regresora es un proceso de Wiener.<\/p>\n

Two basic models from statistical physics.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

In this talk I will speak about an Ising model with an alternated external field. The aim is to show some tools used to characterize the low-temperature phase diagram.<\/div>\n
In addition, I will introduce a family of random walks with memory, which is inspired by the so-called elephant random walk. I will focus on the asymptotic behaviour of the position of the walker.

Multiscale eco-evolutionary models: from individuals to populations<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Motivated by recent biological experiments, we emphasize the effects of<\/div>\n
small and random populations on long time population dynamics. We will<\/div>\n
quantify such effects on macroscopic approximations. The individual behaviors<\/div>\n
are described by the mean of a stochastic measure-valued process. We<\/div>\n
study different long time asymptotic behaviors depending on the assumptions<\/div>\n
on mutation size and frequency and on horizontal transmission rate. In some<\/div>\n
cases, simulations indicate that these models should exhibit surprising asymptotic<\/div>\n
behaviors such as cyclic behaviors. We explore these behaviors on a<\/div>\n
simple model where population and time sizes are on a log-scale. Explicit criteria<\/div>\n
are given to characterize the possible asymptotic behaviors.<\/div>\n
