Nonsmooth functions appear naturally in Optimization, Economics, Partial Differential Equations, and Machine Learning, among others.<\/p>\n<p>In this course, we introduce generalized derivative calculus from a geometrical and functional point of view. We review the basic constructions, such as normal cones and subdifferentials, and provide applications to optimization, partial differential equations, and probability.<\/p>\n<p>The course is intended for undergraduate and graduate students with a general basis on functional analysis.<\/p>\n<p>The course will be held between <strong>December 18 and 21, 2023 <\/strong>according to the following program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday 18 December:<\/strong>\u00a014:30 to 16:00 (Jourani) at DIM \u2013 5th floor. Las funciones no suaves aparecen de forma natural en la optimizaci\u00f3n, la econom\u00eda, las ecuaciones diferenciales parciales y el aprendizaje de m\u00e1quinas, entre otros campos.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>En este curso, introducimos el c\u00e1lculo de derivadas generalizado desde un punto de vista geom\u00e9trico y funcional.
